E-Networks has once again raised the bar for service, speed and technology by building Guyana’s first 5G VoLTE cellular network, firmly establishing itself as the leader in Guyana’s telecommunications industry, Thefastmode website reported on October 28.

The new network built by US-based Mavenir with an investment of $35 million will provide VoLTE, the latest innovation in the field of mobile communications. VoLTE allows users to make high-definition, secure voice calls. E-Networks will release a competitively priced package by the end of the year, adding data distribution and modern account management capabilities.
The deployment of E-Networks' 5G VoLTE network is a major milestone for Guyana, which is due to the recent liberalization of the telecommunications industry, which ended a 30-year monopoly. E-Networks is poised to deliver world-class offerings on 4G and 5G-enabled handsets, including local and international voice calling, text messaging, 4G and 5G data, and international roaming. Mobile services will be available over a large coverage area on E-Networks' fibre backbone, the largest fibre backbone in Guyana.
